In 2003, a ground-breaking journey began with the creation of ZABAS®. This year marked the inception of innovative fee-based auditing components tailored for the dental industry. The visionary behind the name, Jürgen Pfaff, continues to lead our back office and controlling with the same passion and dedication.

Our first customer
Success came swiftly, and by 2005, GLOBAL SIDE had secured its first customer for the ZABAS® GOZ product.

Pioneering fee-based development
2008 marked a pivotal change when msg in Cologne ceased the development of fee-based components and transferred this responsibility to GLOBAL SIDE. This initiated a close collaboration, leading to a gradual majority acquisition of GLOBAL SIDE by msg over the following years.

Dominating the market with 85% share
Year after year, ZABAS® continued to capture more market share, and GLOBAL SIDE gained significant recognition within the industry. From 2013 ZABAS® has been proudly holding an impressive 85% market share, solidifying its leadership and dominance in the field.

Launch of the development of the claims management system
In 2019, GLOBAL SIDE embarked on the ambitious Smart Flow project, expanding its scope to a comprehensive claims management system. This initiative steered the company in new and exciting directions, broadening its horizons and capabilities.

Strengthening of fraud prevention
On 5th September 2022, Global Side Detection GmbH was established to bolster the area of fraud prevention. This new entity focuses on enhancing and further developing the ZABAS® Detection and ZABAS® VVA products, marking a significant step in intensifying efforts against fraud.

The recent changes in the executive team mark another chapter in the history of GLOBAL SIDE. The appointment of Markus Schmid as Managing Director on 23rd January 2024 and the departure of Gerd Strasser from the management board on 31st March 2024 signify a transition characterised by stability and growth
