Lukas has been with GLOBAL SIDE since 2013 and is currently the Product Owner for ZABAS® and ZABAS® MAX.

Prior to this role, he worked as a systems engineer and consultant. He has extensive experience in product management, project implementation, and consulting.

Lukas is an expert in efficient processes and strong customer relationships.

He loves creating solutions that improve lives and dreams of traveling the world. Honesty, respect, and reliability are particularly important to him.

Ossama has been a Senior Android Developer at GLOBAL SIDE since July 2020 and has started working on back-end development some time ago. Ossama is a software engineer known for his problem-solving skills and quick learning ability.

He loves football and dreamt of a professional career as a child. If he didn't have to work, he would develop projects for charities.

His favourite quote: "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Since October 1, 2024, Jorge has been part of the MediPay team at GLOBAL SIDE, where he ensures as a Back-End Developer that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. With a passion for clean architecture and efficient systems, he keeps the invisible parts of digital products working perfectly.

Before joining GLOBAL SIDE, he worked as a Full Stack Developer at Critical Techworks. Today, he develops and maintains MediPay’s back-end systems and  infrastructure making sure that what users see on the screen works seamlessly.
Jorge holds a bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and is completing his master’s in Artificial Intelligence Engineering.
Known for his precision and persistence, he admits he can’t rest until everything works flawlessly.

Outside of work, you’ll find him working on his sports bike, getting it ready for the next track day  or dreaming of teleporting somewhere new to try local food (especially sushi).
Focused, adaptable, and always smiling, Jorge lives by his motto: “Keep improving every day.”

Marcus joined GLOBAL SIDE in September 2025 as Scrum Master in the MediPay team in Portugal. With a background in systems analysis and development and experience as a Scrum Master and Project Manager in the banking sector, he combines structure with empathy to help his team reach their goals.

He sees himself as a team helper – someone who removes obstacles, fosters communication, and ensures that everyone knows where they’re headed. What drives him most is helping people grow, seeing progress unfold, and knowing that the team’s work delivers real value for clients. For Marcus, success means shared achievement and continuous learning.

He’s a certified Scrum Master and values respect, honesty, and collaboration as the foundation for any good team dynamic. His motto, “Stop starting, start finishing,” captures his mindset perfectly: focus on what matters, complete it well, and move forward together.

Outside of work, Marcus is a lifelong gamer — he even met his wife in an online game. When he’s not gaming, he dreams of a quiet home in the countryside, surrounded by nature and animals.

Sarah has been working as an IT Consultant and Project Manager at GLOBAL SIDE since November 2021. Previously, she managed subprojects for the implementation of a new input management system for an insurance company. She holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and is IPMA Level D certified. Sarah leads integration projects for ZABAS® with new and existing clients. She has extensive knowledge in project management methods, facilitation, organisation, agile methods, teamwork, and technology.

Her favourite cuisines are Italian and traditional Chinese. Integrity, reliability, and solidarity are particularly important to her.

Markus joined GLOBAL SIDE as a consultant in 2007 and is now the Managing Director of Global Side GmbH and Global Side Med GmbH, which oversees the MediPay product line. Throughout his intensive career, he has gained extensive experience and expertise in the industry. Before joining GLOBAL SIDE, he led a small IT company and studied business informatics. Markus blends technology, functionality, and people, understands resources, and develops innovative solutions with his team.

He is passionate about cooking curries, has an interest in astronomy, and would love to travel at the speed of light. Communication with great people and working in a multifunctional team fill him with pride. Honesty and diligence are particularly important to him in collaboration. His motto: "The truth is in the data."

Gerd Strasser is the founder of GLOBAL SIDE. With the passion of an owner, he has guided the company's destiny for over 20 years. With this commitment and enthusiasm, he continues to drive improvements in the digital processing and security of health insurers. He is a mathematician and a networker par excellence. Regardless of his role, Gerd Strasser unconditionally supports all teams at GLOBAL SIDE.

Sabine has been a Senior Consultant at GLOBAL SIDE since 2007. Previously, she was responsible for the quotation software of a major life and health insurance company, as well as a commission program for insurance brokers. She is a qualified insurance specialist with CMS, HTML, and SQL knowledge and has attended various trainings. At GLOBAL SIDE, she ensures that customers are regularly provided with the latest data necessary for accurate ZABAS® verification, such as updates to pharmaceutical data.

Sabine enjoys playing badminton, wants to travel around Europe by bicycle, and is keen on volunteering. She is very helpful and values personal and empathetic contact with colleagues and clients. Her motto: „Always look on the bright side of life.“

Christin is a consultant at GLOBAL SIDE and brings a unique combination of healthcare and IT project management experience to the role. She spent five years working in the prevention department at Würzburg University Hospital, where she collaborated with health insurance providers to develop programmes that were designed, tested and refined. She then spent over two years working in public procurement project management at an IT company.

At GLOBAL SIDE, she is responsible for challenging client projects and ensures structure, clarity and reliability during complex implementation phases. Her strengths lie in time management, clear organisation and the ability to act in a solution-oriented manner, even under pressure. She stands for transparency, honesty and collaboration on an equal footing.

Outside of her day-to-day project work, she finds balance through sport – tennis reliably acts as a mood booster. Her life motto, “No Risk, No Fun”, reflects her hands-on mentality: she prefers to try things out, optimise them and forge ahead, rather than hesitate for too long.

Katrin is a frontend developer at GLOBAL SIDE and is responsible for developing modern, user-friendly interfaces. Her focus is on accessible, well-structured and high-performance solutions that enable intuitive use.

She works with great discipline, strong time management skills and a keen sense of aesthetics and functionality. Clean code and clear architecture are a given for her – as is the continuous development of her technical expertise.

Alongside her enthusiasm for minimalist design, she loves a challenge – whether in sport or when travelling. Her aim: to develop solutions that not only work, but impress.

Vincent is a Product Owner at GLOBAL SIDE. He works closely with the development team, clients and stakeholders to clearly prioritise product requirements and drive their strategic development. His aim is to transform complex requirements into structured work packages and to continuously improve products in a measurable way.

With a background in economics and technical training as a mechatronics engineer, he combines analytical thinking with a strong practical understanding. He quickly recognises connections, questions the status quo and maintains an overview even when dealing with many parallel topics.

What sets him apart is his thoughtful approach and genuine drive to shape things. He is motivated not just to manage things, but to actively make them better. In his spare time, he finds balance in DIY or in nature – preferably out and about with his dog, away from the screen and with space for new ideas.

Alexandra is an IT Consultant at GLOBAL SIDE and brings extensive experience in the field of billing systems and digitalisation. Previously, she worked as a specialist consultant, overseeing the further development of billing systems and coordinating between IT and specialist departments on various digitalisation projects.

As a qualified specialist in the health and social care sector, she combines technical expertise with a structured, solution-oriented approach. She attaches great importance to making complex processes understandable and designing technical solutions in such a way that they are practical and sustainable for all involved.

On a personal level, she stands for openness, reliability and integrity. She values clear communication and a respectful working environment. She finds inspiration in travel and new perspectives – always with the aim of learning both professionally and personally.
